Enjoy an Abrolhos Island Charter in April, May or June. The sensational Abrolhos Islands are located only 40 nautical miles west of Geraldton. They are known as the Houtman Abrolhos Archipelagos and consist of 122 islands in total, divided into four main groups; Southern/Pelseart group, Wallabies group, Easter group and North Island group.
The magical Abrolhos is absolutely beautiful and the warm Leeuwin current means this area provides some of the best coral in the world! This idyllic location is ideal for snorkelling, deep-sea fishing, diving, surfing or simply cruising between the many groups of islands. You can see seals on some of the islands sunning themselves or swimming around the boats, select bird species that only use the Abrolhos as their breeding grounds, as well as dolphins coming up to check out the boats.
The Batavia Shipwreck is located at the ‘Wallabies Group’ where it ran aground on 5 June 1629 with 300 people on board. A lot of interesting history belongs to it including mutiny, murders, and makes for an interesting read at the end of a good day.
The Caribou is licensed to carry 12 passengers to 200 miles offshore, but to achieve optimum pleasure and comfort Caribou Charters only take 8 passengers maximum to the Abrolhos. Kevin, one of the crew, has lived and fished at the Abrolhos for 20 years. He has a wealth of local knowledge in regard to fishing spots, diving spots and good anchorage points, and knows all the islands and the waters around them. He’s worked as a chef and accommodation owner/operator in 3 and 5 star properties so you can be assured of a fantastic time in all aspects of your trips.
On this charter you’ll depart Perth late on Thursday afternoon and be transported to Geraldton by small bus. Thursday evening you’ll board the luxurious Caribou and depart first thing Friday morning for the Abrolhos. The next two days will be spent at the Abrolhos fishing, diving, surfing, and relaxing! Whatever you desire to do the Caribou Charter team will accommodate.

The Charter includes all travel to and from Geraldton, boat charter for the four days, accommodation for the three nights, gourmet meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as soft drinks, tea and coffee, all fishing equipment and bait, all snorkelling equipment and air tank re-fills.
